Millwood Dog Behaviour & Training Practice

Hi Thank you for looking at my website.

I aim to provide a service that helps to get the best out of a dog and owner relationship.

Incorporating positive and reward based training with a complete support package that incorporates 4 personal visits with bespoke tips and techniques tailored for your dogs needs, breed and temperament.

Covering all aspects of dog behaviour from puppy training to resource guarding, recall and reactivity issues to name a few.

Dogs are complex sensitive animals and are often misunderstood when trying to convey their needs to us humans. Most of us don't speak dog, but I can help you better understand why your dog will do naughty things like not come back when called and with understanding comes better and a clearer communication between you both.

Gay was absolutely brilliant with helping us settle in our anxious cocker spaniel when we adopted her. She gave really helpful tips and tricks, focused on helping us to bond and making sure our dog was the happiest she could be. As well as training tips Gay also had loads of great nutrition advice and obviously really knows her stuff.

We are so grateful to gay for helping us settling in our dog, would 100% recommend to anyone needing help with their dogs!

We’ve absolutely loved our sessions with Gaynor. I was such a nervous dog owner and didn’t even want to walk my dog but after lots of training and helpful behaviour suggestions of why dogs and owners act the way they do, we are in such a good place. I call her the dog whisperer. If you’re thinking about using Gaynor do it. Life changing for me.

Gaynor is not only an excellent behaviourist but also a really lovely person. She went above and beyond to help us with our 2 year Sprocker, Alfie. She is incredibly knowledgable but also took the time to get to know and understand Alfie, to provide the best advice and training for him. Gaynor came to our home, took him out walking with us and on her own and even had him to stay overnight. He absolutely loves her and made wonderful progress with Alfie. She was incredibly supportive through the whole process. We will always be very grateful.

We contacted Gaynor at Millwood Dog Behaviour and Training Practice for help with our nervous rescue Westie, Hamish. She came to our house and did a thorough assessment then sent us a detailed report of her findings and recommendations. Following on from that we had regular sessions with her and I can honestly say that she has worked wonders with Hamish. She has helped us to help him gain confidence. She has turned him from a nervous rescue dog into a happy confident one. Gaynor is a lovely lady and easy to talk to and gives lots of useful advice. I would recommend her to anyone.

In my house Gaynor is superwoman. My 2 year old calls her Doggie Gaynor and said that Norman is now on Santa’s nice list because doggie Gaynor came ❤️ Norman is our basset hound pup, we love him to bits but he is so greedy I couldn’t feed my 2year old and 10month old with him in the room. Jumping up at high chairs and attacking the kitchen sides for snippets off the chopping board/plates! Life was becoming a little stressful to say the least. If I put Norman out or in another room he would bark incessantly (and he has a stupendous loud houndy sound!) I was at the end of my resolve. Then came Doggie Gaynor to save the day. Her knowledge and understanding is second to none. With patience and her lovely friendly positive approach within the hour Norman was behaving! We stood in the kitchen drinking tea with sausage treats dotted about on high chairs and kitchen sides... while Norman sat next to us on the floor!!! We still have training to do and Gaynor continues to be a constant advisor, counsellor and instructor. We are so grateful. Life is a lot easier since Gaynor arrived and we can’t recommend her enough. If you have doggie issues call in Doggie Gaynor
